Ambassador Catch Up

Meet Tash is one of my longest standing Pink Hope ambassadors. Such a gorgeous young woman with such an inspiring story. She updates us on what has happened in the last year. See tasha's updated story here.

Give us an update of what has been happening in your life since you became a member of Pink Hope?

I have had some massive life changing decisions to make and I couldn’t feel any better for making the changes I have. Changed Careers and have started my own business, I have found an amazing man who has stood by me and supported me 110% and I couldn’t have done half of what I have if it hadn’t been for him.

Have you had surgery and if so, how have you recovered from your surgery?

In march of 2011 I had my mastectomy and I recovered really well. It took months for me emotionally to return to normal, at the time I actually didn’t notice I was different but now I do because I have never felt better. I went back to work after 6 weeks, I had a prolonged stay in hospital as I bled a lot and ended up anaemic. During the filling process I had some trouble and had to have some liquid taken out as it was too much pressure on my stitches and was excruciating. In June of 2011 I had the expanders taken out and my new boobs put it J. I am very happy with the size and shape I have and my scars look amazing nearly 3 weeks after my operation. I am having a little bit of trouble at the moment with some inflammation in my right breast and am constantly taking pain meds for it. I keep telling my selfits much better than the alternative. Plus I know it wont be long until im all finished and I can start the new journey of my life with my wonderful man.

What has becoming a member of Pink Hope meant to you?

Pink Hope has helped me in a way no one else has been able to. Without Pink Hope I feel I would have had a much rougher time. I cannot thank everyone who ever responded to my posts enough, I often feel selfish about it as I do not make the time to get onto the site as often as I would like to. I would love to think I could help someone else through their journey as well.
